One Tree Point Playground : Te Ara Kahika
This play park is a significant focal point in the sub-division, providing shade in an open space for care givers to rest while the children play in the park.
One of the striking features designed by Tina Dyer is the stylised oyster catcher. Also an angular concrete climbing structure covered with Nike Grind, a soft rubber surface. With recycling in mind, this soft rubber surface is made from chopped up and ground old Nike sport shoes bringing a pallet of Oyster Catcher colours to the park. Other features are a massive sand pit with buried treasures and boulders to climb on.Project Details
